AI Trends Content Creators Can’t Ignore in 2025

Discover AI-driven Content Strategies To Stay Ahead of the Curve.

A Salesforce study discovered that in 2023, 76% of marketers worldwide used AI primarily for content creation and copywriting.

But in 2025, things are moving even faster.

What does it mean for us content creators?

Whether you’re a writer, video creator, newsletter operator, or marketer, using AI isn’t just an advantage anymore – it’s a necessity to keep up! New AI tools are changing how we create, optimize, and distribute content.

In this article, we’ll explore the biggest AI trends shaping content creation in 2025 and how you can use them to work smarter, not harder.

Let’s dive in!

Why Trust Me?

I'm an SEO expert and content writer leveraging AI to grow and optimize my online business, which includes client projects, my website, newsletter, and digital products.

AI & SEO: The Search Game Has Changed

For years, Google’s search results were the go-to place for people looking for answers. We've all benefited from targeted, high-quality traffic on our websites for quite some time now.

But things are changing…

Gartner analysts predict that by 2026, traditional search engine volume will drop by a whopping 25% due to AI chatbots and other virtual agents.

Here’s what Alan Antin, a Vice President Analyst at Gartner, says:

Organic search traffic is on a slow decline, with paid ads and zero-click results, like AI Overviews, taking up more space on Google’s search result pages.

And it’s not just AI’s fault. People choose the quicker and easier routes. As more alternatives pop up to give users instant answers, they’re more likely to skip traditional search engines and lean toward faster solutions.

What You Can Do

So, how can content creators make the most of AI and SEO?

Here are a few tips from me as an SEO expert:

  • Build your brand, whether personal or corporate.

  • Focus on what your audience wants and meet their search intent in your content.

  • Think about how to rank your content in AI-driven search results, not just the usual search engines.

  • Use AI SEO tools to boost your website's visibility.

Why is this important?

Because getting people to find your content isn't as simple as it used to be.

People now use platforms like Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity.ai, TikTok, Reddit, and more to find answers.

If you focus on creating optimized and helpful content, it’s more likely to show up and get recommended in AI search engines. Take a look at beehiiv’s ultimate SEO checklist for blog post writing for more insights.

From what I've seen working with SEO content daily, AI search engines tend to recommend pages from the top search results. Of course, there are other factors at play, but that's been a consistent trend with ChatGPT Search and Perplexity.

Let me show you an example.

I asked both AI search engines, "What is beehiiv?"

As you can see below, ChatGPT Search provided links to sources like the beehiiv homepage, my website (Self Made Millennials), and Marketer Milk. All of these pages have ranked on the first page of Google for quite some time.

Perplexity’s results are similar, but it also recommends videos along with search results.

You can try out other queries, but I bet you’ll see this pattern, too.

AI search engines, like ChatGPT and Perplexity.ai, can give pretty good answers to our questions. However, they still rely on Google’s database to pull up results and links. They don’t have their own content database. That’s why Google will likely stay with us as a primary source of information.

As a content creator, if you want to stay ahead of the game and maintain AI search rankings, make sure you're adapting to these AI trends and optimizing your content for both traditional search engines and AI-powered searches.

Beyond SEO: AI as Your Writing Assistant

In 2025, AI isn't just about generating content for ranking purposes.

It’s a real writing assistant that can help in many ways, from sparking fresh ideas when you're feeling stuck to making your content flow better.

For example, AI chatbots can:

  • Help you brainstorm creative ideas when you're feeling stuck.

  • Provide topic suggestions based on your audience's interests.

  • Organize your thoughts and structure your content so it’s easier to follow.

  • Edit and polish your work by catching grammar mistakes and suggesting smoother sentence structures.

  • Improve readability.

  • Generate catchy headlines and introductions.

  • Summarize long articles or research studies, saving you time and effort.

  • Assist with AI-driven content personalization.

Of course, we are talking about the ethical usage of AI for content writing!

Ethical writing with AI means using it to enhance your creativity, not replace it. I recommend always adding your personal touch and ensuring the content reflects your true opinion.

What You Can Do

Use AI as your personal writing assistant, not a replacement.

Let it handle the heavy lifting, like research and idea generation. Meanwhile, you can focus on telling your story and adding your personal or professional touch.

If you’ve ever worked on long-form content, you might know that manual research takes a lot of time. And it’s not always productive.

That’s why I’ve optimized this process with AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini.

Now, instead of heading for information to Google, I usually start my research with ChatGPT. It curates the information from the web to recommend relevant links.

With the improvement in accuracy, such AI tools will likely become essential for faster research and time-saving.

Have you ever experimented with improving your tone of voice using AI?

In my experience, AI tools like ChatGPT can replicate the tone of voice of various brands or content creators by analyzing their existing content. This can be a game-changer, especially for anyone who’s constantly creating content for a corporate brand.

What’s more, AI tools can proofread your work, enhance clarity, eliminate unnecessary clutter, and make your writing more conversational and engaging— literally anything you ask for.

One of my favorite prompts for turning rough drafts into easy-to-read and conversational content is:

Paraphrase, make it sound conversational, use short and simple sentences.

And if the first draft isn’t quite right, you can always ask ChatGPT for an update until it fits your vision perfectly.

This makes the editing process much more efficient. It also lets you focus on refining your ideas instead of reworking the same content over and over.

AI in Email Marketing: Smarter, Faster, More Personalized

Statista reports that 58% of marketers worldwide used AI automation to do email marketing in 2024.

Meanwhile, the number of newsletters sent and received worldwide is expected to reach 408.2 billion by 2027.

That's a ton of emails to manage manually.

So, it makes sense that content creators use AI email writing tools to speed up the email writing process, making it easier and more personal.

Tyler Gillespie, Head of Partnerships & SEO at beehiiv, shared his insights about AI-powered email marketing in 2025:

What You Can Do

If you send newsletters to your audience regularly, you should definitely try using AI to speed things up.

For instance, it used to take me about an hour to write a newsletter.

With ChatGPT and the beehiiv AI toolkit, I can handle everything from writing to editing and formatting the newsletter in just 30 minutes. That’s an extra 30 minutes saved each week or two hours every month!

To learn more about how to do it, check out beehiiv's step-by-step guide on writing newsletters with ChatGPT.

Here’s another great example of using an AI tool for email writing.

Kelly Vaughn claims to have built a successful $18k newsletter empire using beehiiv and ChatGPT.

If you're not sure where to start, I recommend checking out beehiiv AI toolkit for newsletter creators. Here’s how it can make your life easier:

  • Generate content for your newsletter in seconds

  • Complete sentences automatically

  • Fix spelling and grammar mistakes

  • Change the tone of your writing

  • Personalize your newsletters

  • Change the length of your newsletter copy

  • Create beautiful images with just a simple prompt

  • Translate your content into popular languages like Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, and English

Impressive, right?

From what I’ve seen, beehiiv has smoothly added these AI tools right into its text editor, making it super easy to use them and get more done.

Just remember, the quality of the AI-generated content depends on the clarity of your prompt. If you know exactly what you want, make sure to mention it in the prompt. This way, you’ll get a more accurate result.

Here’s a sneak peek from one of my old newsletters, which I created using beehiiv AI.

AI Content Repurposing

Your target audience might hang out in different places simultaneously, including Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity.ai, TikTok, Reddit, and more.

Now, the big question for content creators in 2025 and beyond will be: How do you create different types of content and figure out where to share it?

Sure, creating unique content for each platform could work, but it takes up a ton of your time and energy. Plus, while you’re focusing on one piece of content, your competitors could be spreading their content everywhere. That’s not the most efficient way to go.

With AI tools, you can easily repurpose your existing content like blog posts, videos, or social media updates into newsletters and more.

It’s super efficient because you create something once and use it multiple times!

What You Can Do

If you're looking to make the most of your content, there are plenty of AI tools that can help you transform it into various formats.

For instance, Semrush's Instant Video Creator allows you to turn your blog posts into videos in just a few seconds.

Similarly, Repurpose.io helps you expand your online presence. It automatically converts your content from platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Zoom, HeyGen, and audio podcasts into multiple content pieces tailored for different platforms.

Here's how I applied this.

I wrote an article about AI SEO trends and published it on my website. Then, I used ChatGPT to repurpose my blog post and published it on my Medium blog.

Additionally, I used ChatGPT to summarize the article and repurpose it into an insightful newsletter for my audience.

This approach not only saved me time but also helped me reach more people across different platforms.

AI-Generated Social Media Content: Work Less, Create More

When it comes to generative AI on social media, people have mixed feelings.

Some users think it's fake and still prefer content written by humans and real-life photos.

But according to Statista, only one in five Gen Zers said they didn’t trust AI-generated content on social media in 2023.

This shows people are starting to accept AI content more and more nowadays. And that’s definitely great news for content creators!

It's clear that the shift towards AI is happening, and creators can benefit from this evolving trend.

What You Can Do

If you’re just getting started, I’d recommend keeping it simple.

For instance, you can try using AI tools like Buffer or Copy.ai to automate your social media scheduling, create AI-generated social media posts, manage ads, or even research suitable influencers.

Some content creators go a step further by using AI to:

  • Create AI-generated influencers

  • Automate video editing for Shorts, Reels, and TikTok

  • Make Augmented Reality (AR) filters

  • Generate AI-assisted voiceovers

  • Generate personalized content recommendations

  • And much more

AI-generated influencers are becoming super popular, and brands are jumping on board. These digital personas let marketers create one-of-a-kind brand ambassadors without all the usual hassles of working with human influencers.

Take Miquela, for example. She's an AI-created influencer who shares her "real" life in LA, except it’s actually not real at all! She talks about her story and experiences.

And here’s Naina, said to be India’s first AI superstar, promoting local products and services.

I decided to dive a bit deeper into this because I was curious why people are so drawn to AI-generated influencers.

In my opinion, people follow AI influencers because they offer a fresh, often idealized version of reality that's easy to connect with.

Plus, they can be designed to fit any brand or message, making them highly adaptable.

Since they don’t have real-life challenges to share, their content can feel simple, more consistent, and “perfect.”

It's like having a friend who's always online and ready to chat!
